According to a recent online survey* conducted by ABI Research, nearly half (46%) of those who use social networks have also visited a social network through a mobile phone. Of these, nearly 70% have visited MySpace and another 67% had visited Facebook. No other social networking site reached 15% adoption mobile adoption.
So what are these consumers doing when they access their mobile social network? The biggest features consumers use when accessing a social network on their phone is checking for comments and messages from their friends, with both of these features registering above 50% for mobile social network users. Posting status updates also has proven popular, with over 45% of mobile social users letting others what they are up to via their phone.

Kent Ferguson, Client Services Manager, Nielsen Mobile: “Social networking is already a global phenomenon, and mobile could be the next big thing in the space. Large numbers of people are interacting with their social networking profiles while they’re on the move. I do not think everybody knows it. But at Fusionsearchers I have 4 colleagues. Starting from next week you can find their profiles under the people tab of our website. In the mean time I can share some great news. Yesterday all our potential Advisory Board Members said yes to assist us building the Fusionsearchers Network for Human Capital Solutions.
The Fusionsearchers Advisory board is set up Wikipedia style. According to wikipedia: The Advisory Board is an international network of experts who have agreed to give the Foundation meaningful help on a regular basis in many different areas, including law, organizational development, technology, policy, and outreach. Their abilities, experience, and knowledge were selected for how they complement a particular Foundation project, or the organization as a whole.
I am confident we can build a great company with the assistance of Peter, Katja and Bob. You can find their profiles on our Network page
